OKX Anti-Phishing Code: What It Is and How to Set It Up

Phishing emails are designed to look exactly like messages from your exchange. An anti-phishing code is a simple word or phrase you choose that OKX includes in its genuine emails. If an email claims to be from OKX but does not show your code, treat it as fake.

How to set it up

1. Open the OKX app and go to your profile.
2. Open Security.
3. Find Anti-phishing code and choose to set it.
4. Enter a code that is easy for you to recognise but not related to your password.
5. Confirm with your verification codes.

Choosing a good code

• Use something memorable, such as a random word combination.
• Do not reuse your password or personal details.
• Keep it private.

Other phishing red flags

• Urgent language: “your account will be frozen in 24 hours”.
• Links to look-alike domains.
• Requests for your password, 2FA code or seed phrase.
• Unexpected attachments.

When in doubt, do not click. Open the OKX app directly and check your notifications there.
