Peer-to-peer (P2P) trading lets you buy or sell crypto directly with other users, using local bank transfers or e-wallets. The exchange holds the seller's crypto in escrow until the payment is confirmed, which protects both sides when you follow the rules.
Buying crypto with P2P
- Open the app and find P2P trading.
- Select Buy, the coin (often USDT) and your local currency.
- Filter by your payment method.
- Choose a merchant with a high completion rate and many completed orders.
- Enter the amount and place the order. The crypto is now locked in escrow.
- Pay the merchant exactly as shown, using an account in your own name.
- Tap I have paid. The merchant releases the crypto once they receive the money.
Selling crypto with P2P
- Select Sell and choose a buyer.
- Wait for the payment to arrive.
- Check your actual bank account, not a screenshot, before releasing the crypto.
- Release only when the full amount has arrived from an account matching the buyer's verified name.
Common P2P scams
- Fake payment screenshots: always confirm in your banking app.
- Moving the chat off-platform: keep all communication inside the order chat.
- Third-party payments: payments from a name that does not match can be reversed later.
- Pressure to release early: scammers create urgency. Take your time.
If something goes wrong, open an appeal inside the order rather than settling privately.
