X Stake is an OKX Web3 Boost event where you stake tokens on X Layer, OKX's network, to earn rewards. Rewards are calculated every hour from random snapshots of your staked amount, and your Boost activity can raise your multiplier. You can unstake at any time, and you pay X Layer network fees to stake and redeem. The displayed APR is an estimate, not a promise.
Where to find X Stake
- App: Web3 page → Boost → X Stake.
- Web: Web3 page → Boost → X Stake.
X Stake sits inside OKX Boost. If Boost is new to you, read our OKX Boost guide first.
How to join an event
- Open the X Stake event page and check you are eligible.
- Tap Join. You must join to earn that event's rewards.
- Stake the token the event requires (OKX's FAQ uses USDT as an example; each event lists its own token).
- Confirm the transaction and pay the X Layer network fee.
Don't have OKX Wallet yet? You can create it through our OKX Wallet invite link (referral link), which gives a 0–10% DEX trading fee discount depending on the code.
How rewards are calculated
| Item | How it works |
|---|---|
| Calculation | Every hour, from the average of three random snapshots of your staked amount |
| Multiplier | Your Boost volume and balance raise a bonus multiplier on your weighted stake; the minimum is 1x |
| APR | An estimate that updates hourly and can change with market conditions and final distribution |
| Distribution | Paid in the hour after calculation and accumulates until you claim it during the claim period |
Because the snapshots are random within each hour, staking and unstaking quickly around a single moment does not help; what counts is how much stays staked over time.
Unstaking and fees
- You can unstake at any time with the Unstake button.
- Both staking and redeeming cost X Layer network fees.
- When an event ends, your tokens stay staked in the protocol, but you must tap Join on the next event to earn its rewards.
Risks and what isn't guaranteed
- The APR shown is an estimate; actual rewards can be lower.
- Rewards must be claimed during the claim period.
- OKX's FAQ does not publish a full list of supported tokens or a lock period for every event; check each event page before staking.
- Digital assets are volatile; the value of what you stake and earn can fall.
